RSS Module: Limit RSS Items

Lets say you are using an news source rss feed, and you only want one post to publish every day, and you want that post to always be the most current post on the rss feed you are sourcing from.

BlogSense now has a feature where you can limit the # of items you want to source and publish from a feed.

If you set your limit to three, and have your campaign settings to post three posts per day, then only the top three items on the rss feed will be posted each day.

In other examples, if you have it setup to post 1 post per day, and have the rss item limit set to 2, then it will work like this:

Day 1: Schedule rss item 1 today, and rss item 2 tomarrow.

Day 2: Schedule rss item 1 tomarrow, and rss item 2 the day after tomarrow.

Day 3: Shcedule rss item 1 the day after tomarrow, and rss item 2 the day after the day after tomarrow.

Can you see how the imbalance causes a scheduling creep?

I just illustrated this example to show you how this limiting feature can be used to create scheduling patterns to try and insure you get the most recent items. This feature setting was created especially for the us of news-type rss feeds.
