Hey Guys,
Allot of updating lately so lets run down what’s happened this week.
(Image Saving) Some image urls have had tags
added to the end like this: http://www.domain.com/images/image.jpg?thistag=14,
and this extra tag was causing BlogSense to save an image with an
inappropriate extension. This has been fixed to remove the extra text.
(Tagging Options) The tagging options &
their drop down settings were confusing. These have been cleaned up a
bit.
(Amazon) Worked with css to make a little cleaner
(Tags as Categories) This feature checks if
any of the autotags are also a category, and if they are the post will
be categorized under that category too. This had been broken, but is
now fixed. I’ve recently had a chance to see it in action and its a
pretty powerful feature!
(Translating and Youtube Videos) Youtube
videos that were originally in content, when using translation, were
not being added back in. This is fixed.
(Sources Module) The footprint setting was
not carrying over in content searches. Articles searches should return
more focused results now.
(Sources Module) Increased the article search
results limit to 100 results instead of 40 results… except for
Buzzle.com.
(Source Management Section) Added way to
quickly test how your footprint will behave with Yahoo Search Results.
(NEW CAMPAIGN SETTTING) In addition to link
stripping, a new option has been added that lets you turn link anchors
into tags, and changes the destination link into a link that points to
that tag. For example if there is a link in content that has the anchor
text ‘autoblogging tools’, then ‘autoblogging tools’ is added as a tag
to that post and the link is change to something like this :
http://www.myblog.com/tag/autoblogging-tools/. Pretty cool!
(NEW CAMPAIGN SETTING) Same type feature as
above, but this setting will turn link’s into search links. For
example, if the link and anchor are “autoblogging tools”, then it will
be changed into a link that looks like this:
http://www.myblog.com/?s=autoblogging tools. Personally I like this one
more than number 8.

Hey Guys,

For example if there is a link in content that has the anchor text autoblogging, then autoblogging is added as a tag to that post and that link now points to a search of all posts in your site associated with that tag. Hey Guys,
Very large update today. Please back-up your wordpress database on your
first test upgrade, as in this update all video campaigns are being
moved from the older campaign system to the new import/create-campaign
system…
(Video
Module)
Converted the videos module to the new campaign/import system.
(Bookmarking)
Ping.FM is ready to go. I added the option to place create and input
your very own personal developer’s api key. It’s a really easy process.
When asked what the application is for just put ‘Wordpress Blog’. The
reason I had to develop it in this way is that a Developer’s Keys can
only be used with your own Account while waiting for activation.
Instead of having to wait an indefinite amount of time for Ping.FM to
activate my BlogSense Developer’s key, you can now just create your own
on the fly and pair it with your Ping.FM account. — I still am
working on a better throttling system for bookmarking; that will be
next on the major development list.
(SPINNING)
- The new spin system is implemented. It preserves readability very
well, and your content+ip does now does not travel through the Google
translation system, removing one potential footprint on your
activities. How this spin system works: The content is run through a
database of about 15,000 2-3 word phrases, and attempts to replace
phrases that are perfectly inter-exchangeable. The spin is 15-20%, but
in most all cases readability is mostly retained. This will only work
for English content.
(Solo-Campaign-Running)
Added the option to manually run a single campaign. This is similiar to
the preview option, but instead will actively post any permitted
content.
(Campaign
Naming – Interface) – Better ability to name campaigns that run the new
import/campaign model, better display of current campaigns.
