Found some errors with images and links not being replaced correctly when translating to a different language. This has been taken care of.

Also add auto removal of sexy bookmarks when rss scraping.

BlogSense auto attempts to clean broken UL and LI if they show when scraping rss.

I hope you are doing well. Lets take a look at the new changes and how
they affect us. Please note the new cronjob simplification with BlogSense
Connect.

(Amazon) – Amazon has been restructured
to include all the best features of BlogSense such as title templates,
preview mode, direct import mode, and solo run capabilities. I’ve also
removed footprints, which should help in SEO placement. If you already
have Amazon campaigns please note that they will not transfer over to
the new system. You will have to recreate the campaigns.

(Spinnng) – I’ve opened up options for you
to change the intensity of BlogSense’s spinning capability. This will
allow you to setup single word synonym replacements if you
choose. More information on how this came about can be read at this

CRONJOBS – BlogSense has moved to automatic
cronjobs by tying in responsibility into Wordpress’s pseudocronjob
system. We can accomplish this with a new wordpress plugin called BlogSense

There were also a couple of bug fixes, but these are all the major

This update adds the following:

Tags to Category has been changed to a campaign-only setting rather than a global setting and is now called ‘Auto-Categorize’.

How this feature works is the title is chopped up and if any of the words have a category by the same name, then the post is additionally sorted into that category, as well as the categories of other matches and as well as the originally default category set in the settings of the campaigns.

A tip in using this would be to create a catch-all category that is not displayed on your blog, and send all your posts into that category. Whenever posts can be sorted into other categories they will go there, resulting in only relevant, categorizable posts coming onto your blog.

Hello ,

In this email we go over the latest updates to BlogSense, and talk over
a plug-in I recently found that I’m working into all of my blogs and
believe you should as well.

Lets start with the updates:

(Mass Term & Title Editing) – Parmalinks
updated now when title updated.
(Auto-Pingging) – Auto-pinging has been
added into auto-bookmarking. This means that whenever a post’s time
comes to be bookmarked, your default ping services will be notified as
well. This service can be toggled off or on in your bookmarking section.

Heartbeat.php has been giving the web based
cronjob service setcronjob.com 404 errors, causing the cronjob to
auto-disable. This has been fixed.
You can now use your own Bit.ly username and
apikey.

Bit.ly is now used to shorten ping.fm status
notifications, rather than ping.fm’s default shortner.

This plugin is really simple but amazingly affective and low maintence. The plugin
auto-scans incoming traffic to see if its coming from google, and if it
is then it determines what search string they used to find the page,

(Tagging) Added new setting to auto tagging
that, if turned on, will take the generated tags and make typos out of
them, adding the typo to the tags as well. In this video this feature

(TITLE TEMPLATES) – I’ve been reading over
at the Autoblog Blue print and I’m finding out how important it is to
alter your titles when re-distributing unoriginal content. Another
BlogSense member and I talked it over and we decided that the a title
template system that supports spyntax was a must have feature. Here’s a

(Blocked Urls) – We now have the ability to
manually edit our blocked url list.
(Bookmarking) – You can now limit the
amounts of posts scheduled to bookmark by setting a percentage.
BlogSense will randomize the post ids, then take the percentage, and
then clip off the disposable posts.
(Keyword Alterations) There is now the
option to mass apply keyword alteration profiles to all posts in your
database. This is for posts that were published before a keyword
alteration profile existed. All posts published while a profile is
active will automatically be affected.

(Database Changes) On advice of a user, data
is no longer being stored in the wp_options table to save speed.
(Bug) – Fixed autotagging issue with solo run
(Improvement) – Amazon Image Links now have
target=_blank added to them.
(Bug) – Javascript code was making it
through on post content, this has been eliminated
(Improvement) – ShareThis type bookmarking
code is now auto-removed in some circumstances
Improved Robots.txt
Can now edit license information (For
developers/flippers who will buy single site licenses)

And thats it for this round! I have some things in
the works that I would of loved to have included, such as a wordpress
plugin I’m creating to tie heartbeat.php into Wordpress’s psudocronjob
system, but unfortunately its just not ready just yet. Be expecting an

Dear Reader,

It’s been awhile since my last
update notice, but the ball has not been dropped. I’ve been working
hard to get 5.0 ready for release, which will give you much
more control over the cronjob system, as well as upgrade the bookmarking
system to the new ‘drip’ system I have been preparing. This
two new systems combined will allow you to attempt bookmarks every X
minutes ( – X – will be a random number between two intervals you
supply), as well as provide you with an all inclusive way to monitor
successfully posted bookmarks and index status.

Also, those of you who joined The Autoblog Blueprint. ( spots
still open. http://www.blogsense-wp.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=395
), might have noticed how much content mixing is appreciated…
To better serve you guys, better mixing capabilities for
BlogSense are finally on their way. A token system that scans
different content locations for relevant content is being developed.
Sources will include Amazon, Youtube, Ebay, Flickr, and other potential
sources. Each token will be very simple to create and append to posts,
and also complex token combinations can be created such as two or more
tokens, or a random token out of a selection of tokens. There will be a
very simple formula for creating tokens, and a couple of presets will
automatically be available upon update to 5.0. I’ll be sure to tell
you more about this later…

All of this is due in 5.0, which isn’t quite ready yet and may be a
week off, but there are still many new features and bug fixes in
this latest release that are worthy of checking out. If you are
troubleshooting with me right now these might directly affect you…

New Features

(New Source) – Articlesbase.com – good
articles source. Comments are scraped too.
(New Source) – Yahoo News – Comments are
scraped too.
(Bookmarking Queue) – This management
section is now active. (an early 5.0 upgrade).
(Source Management) – Ability to delete
sources.

Bug Fixes

(Buzzle.com
Campaigns & Server Stress-outs) Code has been updated that
prevents infinite loops that have been causing trouble with Buzzle.com
Campaigns and similar campaigns.

(Categorize-by-Tags)
Code improvement.

(Search
& Replace) This feature was broken for source and rss campaigns.

(Optional
Tagging) – There were situations where tags-off setting was not
respected. This is corrected.
(Wordpress
3.0) – Major improvements to multisite detection. For some using
multisite, accessing blogsense took them to a blank screen, and for
others many errors would show as correct database table prefixes were
being confused by the software.
